The Resolution of the Government of Mongolia No. 1 dated January 4, 2006

Ref: Support of Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative

Based on the trend that the share of Mining and Extractive industries in Mongolian economies increases rapidly and solidly, and taking into consideration of calls and proposals of International institutions and donor countries the Government of Mongolia issues this resolution and orders as follows:

1. To support the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative forwarded by Mr. Tony Blair, Prime Minister of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
2. To ratify the composition of the National Council having tasks and functions to organize and coordinate implementation activities in regard to Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative.
